Some ideas (week 5 Tus

The good thing to work alone is you don't feel the pressure (The responsibility) while you are in a team.  However, i just realise that it is much more easier to make mistakes when you work alone. What i mean is, some mistakes you feel so obivous when somebody told you but you just ignore when you were working on it. I talk to Tristam (tutor) about the user journey i am working on so far. We find some issues on it."That's why we do user testing." As he said.    For Sarah's user journey, there is a problem of the typeface on the preference page. There are three different typefaces on the page which is not united. Besides, the preference page and the subcategory after does not connect to each other very well. The log in home page raises confusion. The page does not show significant differences between authority news and individual news.

We find out many issues through the user testing this time. In this journey, the target for the user is get to the article on the community "Our city" that the user has written. First of all, the user kind of dont know where to go on the homepage. There is no obivous sign on the home page.  There is a word on the page"Please show you are not a Robert" which supposed to mean "Please show you are not a robot"(i don't know why i wrote down "Robert") This page does not show the "next"or "go" option. And the "Community preference"on the top does not clearly show the user what this page is about. It is better to add "Please choices the area that you are interesting in to customise your page."  There is a proble of the transition from the last page to this page. As this page is like a subcategory of the last page. It creates confusion to the users about whether the user directly come to t...

6personae week3

Persona 1:Haiyan Zhang Haiyan is a Chinese old lady. She prefers to get information through TV rather than Web but her workplace encourage her to know how web works. In another word, she is a casual  browser without brand loyalty and probably not good at web operation. Besides, she is care of things around her (local News).   By scrolling down the national block on the homepage, she is able to reach the target news dirrectly. Persona 2:Hemi Kamana Hemi is a multitasker. He is a personal trainer. He prefer to read News while listening music and gymming as well. So i think he would like to read News on the app.  Persona3: Mike Richards He is a News Junkie. He gets used to refresh the webpage when he works at his bookshop to see what is happening.  He can reach the target page by clicking the top story on the homepage.  Persona4: Sarah Blake She is a designer and would like to share the News she get on the website. ...
